Pink Saturday

~Happy Pink Saturday~

Hello all my pinkie friends ~ I hope you all had a lovely week!

I had the flu most of the week myself and I didn't think I would be able to share anything today but I came up with a couple of pinks for you.

I was supposed to share my finished mantel but I didn't get it finished so I will share something else today.

This past week my aunt and uncle were over to the Island for a visit with my mother and me. They arrived bearing gifts too. Wanna see?

This tea for one set is adorable, isn't it? It has a garland of pink, rose, and blue flowers on it and it came all the way from Vancouver Island. My aunt and uncle take a trip out there every year and when they saw this little set on their travels, they thought of me. Obviously, they know what I like!

I will be sharing more about it next week on Tea Time Tuesday so please join me then.

I couldn't go without sharing another photo of my precious little pinkie, Jenna-Lynn. She is four months old now and here she is wearing her hooded pink and navy polka dot sleeper.  She looks like a happy baby and indeed she is! She's always laughing and smiling. I don't know when I'm actually going to get to meet her. There is a whole country between us and for now I will have to be content with photos, the webcam, and videos.

Well, those are my pinks for this week. Hopefully I will have my mantel ready for next week. Now please make your way over to visit our wonderful hostess Beverly at How Sweet the Sound and see all her pretty pink participants. Hope you all have a fabulous pink weekend!   http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/

Sharing from my heart~ Sandi

  2. Hi Sandi, That is a very pretty teapot and teacup you received. Your aunt and uncle know you very well. What a sweetie your Jenna-Lynn is. My heart aches for you not having met or held her yet. It is the best feeling in the world and I pray you will see her very soon. I know how it feels but I have seen our grandson 2 different times. Sometimes I just look at his latest picture and imagine holding him knowing it will be a while yet for our next visit. I am very thankful for the webcam too. I hope you have a lovely weekend and will be feeling better soon. Blessings and hugs, Pam

  7. Oh what an adorable little one, and don't those complete tea sets make such unique teapots and cups. I bet you can't wait to sit down with this little granddaughter at one of the delightful children's tea sets and enjoy a "cuppa" with her. :) Hope and pray you're feeling better soon!

  10. Oh, sweet Sandi... I'm so sorry you've had the flu. Poor Mr. Magpie has had it, too. I hope and pray that you get to feeling better soon. Are you taking Robitusson? He said he coughed so hard it hurt every muscle in his back. I pray you don't go through that. I had it over Christmas and was sick for weeks. Please feel better soon.

Sending you warm, get well PINK wishes for a Happy Pink Saturday...

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  19. Your little Jenna-Lynn is quite the little model! How pretty she is! I hope you get to meet her soon while she is little. I relate to having family a whole country apart....I am pretty much in the same boat.

Your Aunt and Uncle knew just what to gift you with! It is beautiful. When we lived in beautiful Blaine, WA. Vancouver Island was one of my favorite places to go....it is a marvelous ferry ride from the mainland.
I hope you are starting to feel better! How horrible to have the flu just when spring is starting!
Take care and drink lots of tea!
    Hugs to you good friend!

  21. Pretty tea set... do you know where it came from on Vancouver Island. I live on Vancouver Island. Lots and lots of antiques stores here. I hope to get over to the east coast one time. Kind of shameful of me to be born and raised on the west coast but never venture to the other side, where in fact my grandfather came from. Lovely blog you have. Full of charm!

    Have a lovely weekend.
    Cheers
