Hello friends and welcome to the last Tea Time Tuesday in February!
I must admit I'm glad this month is coming to an end because the weather has been simply atrocious here on Prince Edward Island. The schools have been closed for over a week because of the mountains of snow we have. Thankfully, Spring is less than a month away. Yay!!
And since it is still February, I am using my Royal Albert Flower of the Month ~ February Violets teacup for tea today.
This beautiful teacup was a house warming gift from Hubby's aunt many years ago. I cherish it as she is no longer with us.

This teacup sprinkled with violets is made by Grace China.
The vintage spoon below was a gift from a dear blogger friend. It has the letter 'S' engraved on the handle and she thought I would like it. She was right!

I do love lace and so I am using a Battenburg lace table topper beneath it all.
I visited Martha's blog Lines from Linderhof the other day and she had mentioned they had a bread pudding at the Tea she had attended. I have been craving bread pudding ever since so naturally I had to make some.
Served warm with maple syrup from my little French white pitcher, it is a real treat.

I am just enjoying a cup of tea while reading your post. My tea is in a mug, nothing as fancy as yours. You have certainly been hit with a lot of snow this year in PEI. My friend sent me some photos from Charlottetown and it is awful Here in Southern Ontario it is the bitter cold than has been awful.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder I like all things purple as this is my birth month. I've always had amethyst jewelry and have a few violet pieces of china but nothing like your gorgeous teapot Sandi.

So beautiful, Sandi! Violets and pansies speak of spring, for sure. We have mountains of snow as well, and cold temps with high winds making for severe wind chill warnings for tonight. So nice to think about spring on a day like today!

ReplyDeleteOh you know I love both violets and pansies!! What a beautiful table you set. And the bread pudding sounds awfully good. Sorry you are having so much snow. We are getting the awful cold but so far the snow has been manageable. I will always think of the intense green of PEI and the red clay.... so hard for me to imagine all that snow..... Love LMM's saying about Spring... so so true.

ReplyDeleteI too can not wait for this month to end..... It is now the 3rd coldest Feb. here in Pa. Temps for tomorrow morning are predicted to be about -6 degrees!! I am sure you have a lot more snow than we do ......

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!! Your Hubby is lucky that he could work inside. That clerks are a different Union than the letter carriers so Joe is not able to do that. I can only imagine how tough it would be delivering the mail where you live.
Joe is truly counting the days until he can retire and he will only have next Winter and hopefully, will retire in Jan. of 2017.
