Tea Time Tuesday

At Easter time the flowers bloom
The skies are bright and blue
The world's as joyous as can be
So is my thought of you. ~ Author unknown

Welcome to another Tea Time, my lovely friends! I hope you all enjoyed your Easter weekend. Hubby and I had a wonderful turkey dinner with our son and his family. Family time is so precious!

Today is Easter Monday here in Canada so it is another holiday for my hubby. It's been lovely having him home for a nice long break!

Can you believe it is April 1st already ? Do you ever 'get' your hubby on April Fools? I get mine every year. It's tradition in our home.
My joke involved a turkey and some giblets and we had a great laugh over it!

By the looks of things outside my window, Winter is finally letting go and making way for Spring. Yay; I feel like celebrating!

So, would you like to join me for a pot of tea? Please have a seat and let's enjoy some tea and cake, as well as some chocolate. Or have you had your fill of chocolate?

My bunnies are eyeing the eggs and wondering how long they will last because they know I love them.

I have decided to use my Johnson Bros. Rose Chintz today as I haven't featured it in a while. Spring is here and this romantic pattern always reminds me of springtime and Summer when all the flowers are in bloom. The roses and forget-me-nots just make me happy.

My sweet hubby surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of pink tulips the other day.

 The perfect flowers for springtime.

How about a piece of my cake? I added the little chick and the eggs.

It is a marble cake. Who knew? I thought it was a white cake.

And tea is English Breakfast tea.

I know this is a coffee pot but just for today, we'll pretend it's a teapot.

"Strange how a teapot can represent at the same time the comforts of solitude and the pleasures of company." ~ Author unknown

My bunnies are still hopping around and probably will be for a few more weeks. I really don't mind them though. I find they are good company.

Happiness is sharing tea with a friend.

"He existed before anything else, and He holds all creation together." ~ Colossians 1:17

Thank you for visiting today. I always enjoy your company. My door is always open and tea is always ready.

Do you have a favourite teacup/teapot or mug that you would like to share with us today? I would love to see it and I'm sure others would too! If you wish, you may do coffee instead of tea or the following is acceptable too:
Hot Apple Cider, Hot Chocolate, Lemonade, Iced Tea or iced coffee, Punch in a lovely bowl.

As a courtesy, please link back to me so that your visitors may find their way here to visit with all my lovely participants.

  21. Love the prank you played on your hubby! My daughter had fun playing pranks on us. She dyed the half and half I use for my coffee each morning a bright shade of green. As you went out to your car, you found a stuffed animal seat belted into each of the front seats, ready to drive away. Let's see, she nabbed my computer and switched my background. She was quite busy, but all in good fun!
