Tea Time Tuesday

"Strange how a teapot can represent at the same time the comforts of solitude and the pleasures of company." ~ Author Unknown

Happy Memorial Day to all my American friends and welcome everyone to the last Tea Time Tuesday for the month of May! It has been a busy month filled with celebrations and wonderful memories. I hope your May has been as sweet.

I am very happy with how my pictures are turning out now! Have you noticed? When my boys were home, my youngest went into the bowels of my blog and set it up so that my pictures are larger and framed all the way around and I'm so very happy about that! There is just no way that I could have done this on my own. He also set me up on the Picasa program. Thank you, J!

Do you like chocolate and peanut butter? I don't ever remember a time when I didn't love them!
So, for today's tea, I will be serving Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars.

This is the easiest recipe which I found at - Six Sisters Stuff

EASY NO BAKE Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars
1 cup melted butter
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 cups icing sugar
1 cup + 4 tablespoons peanut butter
1-1/2 cups chocolate chips

In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, graham crumbs, icing sugar, and 1 cup peanut butter until well blended.
Press evenly into an ungreased 9X13 pan {I used  a 9X9 pan because I like them thicker}. In microwave, melt the chocolate chips with the peanut butter, stirring every 30 seconds until melted and smooth.
Spread over the peanut butter layer. Refrigerate at least one hour before cutting into squares. Enjoy! These freeze well too.

Did you notice the pattern on the tray? It's another Skye McGhie Cream Lace piece.

Now, please make yourself at home as we partake of some rich dark Darjeeling tea in my paisley teapot.

My tea is set up on an olden quilt made by my Auntie P with the help of my late grandmother; two of the most beloved women in my life.

I am using my toile china mugs today. I have two of these; one for you and one for me.

Let's have a party,
Beginning at three.
You choose the teacups,
I'll pour the tea.
You pick the pastries,
Sweet as can be.
I'll toast to friendship
Between you and me.~ Unknown

These mugs are hand decorated bone china made in Staffordshire England. They are Royale Garden and I find the Victorian figures very charming on the ivory background.

Happiness is sharing tea with a friend.

"Spring had come once more ....lingering along through April and May in a succession of sweet, fresh, chilly days, with pink sunsets and miracles of resurrection and growth." ~ L.M. Montgomery, "Anne of Green Gables"

Tulips from my garden.

I am glad I got to enjoy these for a few days because the crows have once again desecrated my back garden and bitten all my beautiful tulips off! *sigh* Had I known they were going to do that, I would have brought every tulip inside for my bouquets!

I am planning another seasonal tea party which I will tell you more about next week. Hope to see you then!

I am happy to see all your tea things, whether you have shared them before or not. This tea party is all about sharing your joy of tea time and any thoughts you might have on the subject. And for the summer months, I would love to see your teacups and teapots indoors as well as out in the garden, at the beach, on a park bench, etc... Also I would enjoy seeing your teacup and teapot crafts as well as recipes and any stories you might have to share about tea time. So, let's have fun this summer with our teas. Get out there and be as creative, fancy, or as laid back as you wish!

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy." ~ Romans 15:13

I am delighted you have stopped by for a visit today. Your presence always make my tea party that much more special! Do you have a favourite teacup/teapot or mug that you would like to share with us today? I would love to see it and I'm sure others would too!

If you wish, you may do coffee instead of tea or the following is acceptable too:
Hot apple cider
Hot chocolate
Lemonade
Iced tea or iced coffee
Punch in a lovely bowl.
No alcoholic beverages please.

The Tea Time Tuesday button on my sidebar is available for you to use in your post or place on your sidebar if you wish. A poem, tea quote, or scripture verse would be more than welcome!
To be sure everyone has a visit, it would be nice if you visited the participant before and after your name.

I actually have this recipe WHICH IS MY VERY VERY Favorite for making peanut butter balls. I've shaped them into hearts at Valentine's Day and little eggs for Easter, etc. I even made them into FOOTBALLS for the SUPERBOWL Party! Once you've eaten this you can't go back to Reese.
    Happy Memorial Week to you,

  23. I copied out your bars and I'm going to try them tomorrow. The teapot is absolutely beautiful and the china mugs are too. We use china mugs in the evening for our cup of tea. Was told years ago that tea should only be drank from china and I do believe it's true. Tastes better. Thank you for sharing...

My latest bog post has been my first back in the blog world and it explains where I've been. I'm hopping that being able to write my experience will move me ahead to where I need to be. I could use your prayers of strength. For now I missed May but June is close. Hugs

  42. Hi Sandi,
Beautiful Tea....Lovely tulips. So sorry the crows ate the rest of them. My sister lives in a little village about 5hours north of Sydney..and she grows beautiful roses..but..she has to be quick picking them in bud, before the feral deer and wallabies eat them.
    Love your peanut butter slice...
    Have a good week

  58. Sandi what a beautiful post. I absolutely love every picture and love the pink transferware look and you touched everything off with your picture showing a matching breezy curtain.

It slows life down just thinking of stopping for 'tea and sympathy' so to speak.

I saw a double rocking lawn furniture made of metal and everything in me relaxed when I sat on it...truly I hated to get up. I just wished my budget would have allowed me to make the purchase. Coming from the Southern States we loved our swings and rocking chairs.

I so appreciate all your posts but this one spoke to my heart and soul.

    Bless you.
    Joyfully,
