Spiritual Sundays

Hello everyone~ The weekend is here and it is time for Spiritual Sundays again. I hope you have all had a wonderful week!
I have been cutting back considerably on my blogging lately because I have been very busy and part of the reason I have been so busy is because twice a week for the last number of weeks, I have been going to physio therapy for my back. My therapist told me that I will get better but it's going to take time. How I'm feeling now is not going to last. Now is not forever.

'Suffering was not part of God's original act of creation, but it serves as a temporary reminder of what happens in a world where God's order has been broken.
Although we cannot avoid pain and disappointment {John 16:33}, we know that it's only temporary. Some sorrow will be relieved in this life, but all of it will be relieved when God finally and firmly establishes His new heaven and new earth. {Rev.21:1}. Now is not forever.' {Excerpt from Our Daily Bread by Julie Ackerman Link}

"There will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." - Revelation 21:4
These beautiful and fragrant lilacs are only here for season.
"The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever." - Isaiah 40:8

THE GAINS OF HEAVEN WILL MORE THAN COMPENSATE FOR THE LOSSES OF EARTH.

There are many in one form of pain or another. Please check out those on my sidebar and lift them up in prayer.
Thank you for stopping by today and please join Charlotte and Ginger for Spiritual Sundays by clicking on the link http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/ or the SS button on my sidebar. Wishing you all a beautiful weekend.

  10. I hope you'll recover in no time sister Sandi. I had a neck injury and time to time, the pain [though was not as bad as the initial one]returns. It's never the same. But this reminds me of our limitations. And reminds me to depend on Him. Thank you for this beautiful reminder. God bless you always.

  13. I always enjoy your blog with the beautiful china. Sorry your having trouble with your back. I know how that feels. If you would like read My Story on my blog. I've been through a lot with my neck and back but one day I will be completely free of all I've been through and will have a new body. I look forward to that day when I can stand before my Savior and thank Him for all he has done for me.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm glad you enjoyed the Worship song.

Will say a prayer that the PT will help your back.
    Blessings, AE

  14. Sandi, I love the photo of the lilacs. They are beautiful but the Scripture tells it like it is, doesn't it?

I'm sorry to read that you are suffering with back problems. We often pray for healing which is good but recently I've learned to also pray that in the midst of the pain, God would be glorified by your response.

Thank you for visiting me at Heart Choices. I always enjoy meeting other bloggers.

I just prayed that you would feel better soon. :)

  16. Beautiful post...My pastor reminded us today that eternity starts the moment we invite Jesus Christ into our lives. So yes, there is suffering, hatred and evil here on earth but there is also a cross and the assurance of paradise one day. Hope you're feeling better soon. Blessings, Patty
