Hello everyone and welcome to my 18th Tea Time Tuesday!
We Canadians just enjoyed a long Victoria Day weekend with wonderfully warm temperatures. We celebrated Queen Victoria's birthday and that of our reigning Queen Elizabeth's although Elizabeth's is actually on April 21st. It is regarded as the first long weekend of the Summer here in Canada and what a lovely weekend it was!
Many were out spending time in their gardens while others spent time at the beach, including ourselves. Still others went camping for the weekend. It was a perfect weekend, weatherwise!
Once Hubby got the yard work finished, we headed for the beach, and how exhilarating to sink my toes into the warm sand once again! I love walking on the beach and I also love to just lie down and watch the clouds drift by; so relaxing! We had our first burger and strawberry milkshake of the season at Shirley's which is a popular snack bar out at Brackley Beach. It was a beautiful weekend!

Now, on to my tea!
Today I am serving tea in this pretty tea pot. I have the matching salt and pepper shakers and the napkin holder as well which I will not share today.
This tea pot could also be used as a coffee pot because it is taller than most tea pots, and since I don't have any blue teacups, I opted to use my blue mugs. This tea pot has no markings of any kind, just a plain white tea pot with pinky-peach, yellow, and blue flowers on it, adorned with a blue ribbon and topped off with a blue cover.
Would you like to try a cheese biscuit with some apricot jam?
It is a perky little tea pot and since there is some yellow on the pot, I decided to share some of my daffodils. Nothing says Springtime better than daffodils and tulips! There are many ways to enjoy teatime - formal, casual, business, cream teas, Christmas tea, tea served in a mug which I have done today, tea presented in a fine china cup, a picnic tea outdoors in the country, a cozy snuggled-up-beside-the-fireplace tea for two, an elegant tea on the lawn, or an hour of culinary delight in a stylish tea room.
However you choose to do it, try to set aside some casual time to spend with a friend or loved one for no other reason than to relax and enjoy a laugh, rekindle intimacy, help soothe each other's jangled nerves, or just to let your minds wander together among uncharted dreams. {Excerpt from Tea time With God}
"His soul shall dwell at ease." ~ Psalm 25:13

Hi Sandi! My tea party is up!
ReplyDeleteThat teapot is such a pretty pot. I like to have severa more casual teacup and saucer sets along wih teapots.
have a good day!
Hi Sandi
ReplyDeleteYour blue mugs go very well with this tea pot.
We had a great long weekend here with the family all together for lunch on Sunday at a restaurant.
Blogger must really have a glitch in it - your post was not updated and Lady Katherine's says hers is 4weeks old. Photos are also hard to include because each one goes to the top of the post which is so frustrating.

I love your Spring-time tea party! I wish it was Spring-time here today but instead it is wintry and cold.Never mind-perfect weather for hot tea and staying inside!
ReplyDeleteI have published my post and would love to be included in your tea party today if I may?
Best wishes,
Natasha.

Hi, Sandi!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tea pot!! I recently did up a Tea Party theme basket where everyone donated money in my department at work and I bought all kinds of things associated with tea. It will be chanced off as part of a fund raiser. I had the worst time trying to find a new tea pot to buy to add to the basket. Finally Pier One came through. I will probably post a pic of everything I put in the basket next week.

HI Sandi!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely time you had at the beach..I miss it so much not living close to water like I did growing up on the West Coast of the states!

Hi Sandi~ ~Your blog is so lovely and the china in the header is one of the prettiest patterns I have seen. I've been doing lots of antiquing around here lately and I'm seeing a lot of this pattern and have been thinking of beginning a collection. Do you collect this pattern?
ReplyDeleteI would love to join in for your tea party sometime but I don't see a Mr. Linky? How should I proceed with this?
I would love it if you would stop by and answer me in my comments. It may just bring others to your blog and to the tea party.

ReplyDeleteBlessings, Pam
Hi Sandi: Your teapot is beautiful Can you still add me to your list? Thanks, Martha www.marthasfavorites.com
ReplyDeleteSandi, It sounds like a wonderful weekend you had! Here's to more at the beach! Wish I was closer to an ocean - I'm smack dab in the middle of the continental U.S. We do have lakes with beaches...you've reminded me that hubby and I should go take a walk on the bike/walking path that encircles Gray's Lake. Enjoyed your tea. The teapot is really pretty and the blue mugs are nice. My morning tea is normally in a mug even though I do have pretty teacups - I must get in the habit of using them from time to time! I like the little church birdhouse and your biscuits look excellent! I think you are a fabulous cook, Sandi! Everything always looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings, Beth
Sandi, You have no idea how the words in your comment encouraged me this morning. The word you chose, "purpose" was just what I was looking for. I want my blog to have a purpose and that purpose is to serve Him. Please link me up is you feel my post qualifies, I know I'm a day late...many blessings new friend. Patty

Hello Sandi!
ReplyDeleteI like the ribbon on the neck of this tea pot. How very graceful it looks.
It has been so very busy here with the graduation and school year ending but things are easing up a bit, I think.

Dear Sandi, I was just admiring your teapot...the cups work so well with it. It's given me some ideas now, thank you :o)
ReplyDeleteGod bless you.
Love the shape and solid blue of the lid on this pot. I think blue mugs look just right with this pot. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend that restores the soul.

Hi Sandi :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked my peonies...they bloomed nice and early this year and have been beautiful...I feel blessed. :) I have to tell you, I am a bit jealous that you got to sink your toes in warm sand...not gonna happen for me this year I'm afraid. I will have to stick to the swimming pool! :-) Your biscuits are making me hungry..it's 5:35 am here and my tummy is growling! lol I think I might have to go make me some biscuits and tea now. :) Thanks for sharing!
Melissa :)
Your setting is just amazing. And those desserts... oh my!
