Pink Saturday

Good morning pinkies~ The weeks are just whizzing by and before we know it, Spring will be here! I can't wait!

I have this little teacup with pink blossoms on it which always reminds me of Springtime when I look at it. One of my shower gifts once upon a time.......It has two of my favourite colours on it; pink and aqua. It also has a unique rim. I really like the look of a teacup and pearls, don't you?

A year ago, I shared one of my first ceramic pieces. I thought I would share it again for those of you who haven't seen it.
This is Penelope and she is a sweet little girl all dressed up in her pink frock for Easter with her Easter bonnet in her hand. Her frock is tied with an iridescent ribbon and she wears her favourite locket around her neck.
Her bonnet is adorned with a pink ribbon, shabby pink roses and lots of lace. She has her hair done up in ringlets and she has real satin ribbon in her hair. She was a lot of work and she sure was a challenge at the time!

    Love this teacup, and they look perfect dressed in pearls. Cute litle girl. I too, used to do ceramics. I started when I was 18, and did it for many yrs. I know the painstaking hours of working on these pieces. Making the greenware smooth without breaking the piece. Just lovely. thanks for sharing!

    Hi Sandi, I came to say hello for pink Saturday and was happy to read your spiritual Sunday too. Love the pretty teacups and the pearls give them a very romantic feel. The sweet little girl is darling and has so much beautiful detail. A true little Pinky.
