It's REDnesday!

'Morning everyone~ It's the middle of the week already and you know what that means! It's REDnesday once again. I have decided to join Sue at It's A Very Cherry World and her red participants again this week.

I have been walking you through The Homestead the last number of days and today I would like to finish up the tour by showing you some reds! Hope you enjoy!
I just had to show you this wonderful lantern and ceiling medallion. This place is so charming, it's hard to leave! And a gorgeous window.Lots of gift ideas. I love this wall of cliches, words, and the red shaded lamp on the table.A table of glassware and red-covered chairs. Red knick-knacks and birdhouses.

A black hen with her red comb and a teddy sitting nearby in a red jacket.
Lots of red here; candles, jams, linens, etc.
A wonderful old settee sporting a very sweet print and old-fashioned quilted cushions and mat.
There was much more but it would take too many pictures to show you everything. I think you get the idea! The Homestead is a very unique shoppe and if you're looking for that something special, this is the place to go on Prince Edward Island!

I did buy something but it wasn't red. It was white; a distressed white metal finial, very French!
I will show you what I did get over the summer though. I have been wanting one of these for some time and I finally found one; good price too!
A red transferware handled tray. It is large enough to handle my favourite red teapot and a creamer. Love it! Thanks for visiting me today and please take some time to go visit our cheery hostess Sue and all the other red participants at http://suelovescherries.blogspot.com/
Hope you are all having an exceptional day! God bless you!

no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love Him." 1Corinthians 2:9

  4. Hi Sandi
I'm not familiar with the word transferware, but now I know!
The Homestead is fabulous. I can't pick one thing out of al the wonderful goodies, but I did like the entrance chandy.

  5. love the tray and tea set. I love the red barn and forgot to tell you last time I saw it that it reminds me of a barn at the farm that Scott's parents have in their basement. When the boys had their farm nursery I coveted it. It is too big to put in my tiny house anyways. I love those houses above the hutch too.

snowman soup is pk of cocoa with 5-8 mini marshmallows, 3 hershey kisses and a candy cane to stir. there is a poem too. I'll post soon and make sure I give you a heads-up. Be warned...it's addictive to give. xox!
