An Award & My Favourite Rhubarb Muffins!

Good morning~ The other day I made my favourite Rhubarb Muffins for Bible Study. They are a little tart with a zing of orange zest and a sprinkling of sweetness on the top. They are yummy and I thought I would share the recipe with you.
Rhubarb-Oatmeal Muffins

Makes 12 muffins:
1 cup buttermilk
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 -1/2 cups flour
1-1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 tbsp. grated orange zest
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 cups chopped fresh rhubarb

In a medium bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, vanilla, and oil. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, oats, orange zest, baking soda, and salt. Make a well in the center; pour in egg mixture and stir just until combined. Stir in rhubarb. Immediately spoon batter into 12 greased muffin pans. Sprinkle a little brown sugar on top of each muffin before baking. Bake in oven preheated to 350, for about 30 minutes. Cool muffins in pans for 5 minutes, then remove to cool completely on wire rack. Store loosely covered with foil. Makes 12 {although I often get 14 out of the batter}.
The other day I received a lovely surprise, in the form of "One Lovely Blog Award" from Susan at A Southern Daydreamer http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ . I have received this award before and I'm happy to receive it once again. Susan, thank you for thinking of me! I am always blessed when one of my bloggy friends wants to pass on an award to me.
The rules are, I am to link back to Susan and then pass it on to other blogger friends of my choice, linking to them and letting them know I have given them this award.
I hope you don't mind Susan, but I am going to break the rules and pass this award on to all my Followers. I couldn't possibly choose because I don't want anyone to feel left out. So, if you are one of my Followers, please take this award and post it on your blog from me to you. Have a wonderful day everyone!
