You are so fortunate to have those memories. My parents had me later in life. On my father's side both parents had died before I was born. On my mother's both were gone by the time I reached the age of 5 so I have few, if any, memories of grandparents. I think that is why I work so hard (not work, really) to make memories with my grandchildren.
