An Easter Tea Time Tuesday

Tea is a hug in a cup.~

Welcome dear friends to my Easter Tea Party~
I am delighted you have come for tea! Please come in and get comfy while we have a visit.

This cute little chick has been waiting patiently for your arrival! No, I'm not talking about me, although I've been waiting for you too, I'm talking about this cute little fellow in the teacup! We're both so glad you're here!

This cute little fella along with his two little friends, arrived at my home last week; a gift from my Auntie P and Uncle Doug. You met them at last week's tea party, remember?

A box arrived in the mail and when I opened it, out hopped three fluffy yellow chicks! And they really do hop! So, they have come to my party today. They are keeping Mr. Bunny company while I get my tea party ready.

Would you care for a cup of Easter eggs? Oops, I mean tea!

My tea table is all set; a pot of PG Tips is steeping and the cakes are set out in all their finery.

Easter eggs and sprinkles, as well as fluffy white frosting adorn two of the cakes, while the other is frosted with pretty pink icing and a darling pink carnation from my bouquet.

And for those of you who would rather chocolate, I have one of those too!

My bunny creamer has come to the party.

Yellow tulips stand tall in their vase; a welcome sign of Spring.

Tea has been served.....

Today I am using three teacups; all of which you have seen before... The first one is Garden Whispers by Skye McGhie. I like the shape of this cup and the little dragon flies, honey bees, lady bugs, and flowers sprinkled all over it! One little chick really likes to snuggle down in it.

Pierced Lace, also made by Skye McGhie...

The green one was handpainted by Amy @ Vintage Porcelain Art - http://vintageporcelainart.blogspot.com/ Every time I share this teacup, I receive compliments on it! It really is a special cup and Amy is a very talented artist!

The teapot, Cream Lace by Skye McGhie, is the same one I used last week. It looked the nicest with all my teacups, so I decided to use it again today.

Hubby arrived home from work and of course, he was wanting a sweet to go with his tea. Can you guess which one he chose?

I knew he would pick the chocolate one! These cakes are little angel food cakes and they look so pretty all dressed up for Easter!

Humor is the spiciest condiment in the feast of existence. Laugh at your mistakes but learn from them, joke over your troubles but gather strength from them, make a jest of your difficulties but overcome them. ~ 'Anne of the Island' by Lucy Maud Montgomery

Now as I mentioned earlier, I also have a bouquet of pink carnations. Which bouquet do you like? The yellow or the pink? I can't decide so I've used both today.

Ah, Springtime and Easter, you've gotta love it! Warm breezes? Well, they will arrive shortly, I hope! It's still pretty cool here. Flowers, new Spring lambs, and birds nesting. I do love Springtime; my favourite time of year!

I also love to curl up with Victoria magazine and a cup of tea....

What a wonderful way to relax! I am eagerly awaiting the next issue! Beautiful photos and stories, and lots of inspiration are to be found in Victoria. I always glean an idea or two from its lovely pages.
My friend Kathy @ A Delightsome Life ~ http://blissfulrhythm.blogspot.com/  hosts a delightful party every week featuring Victoria magazine. I hope you will take a few moments to visit her lovely blog.

What does Easter mean to you? As a child, Peter Cottontail hopping down the bunny trail is really what I cared about. Of course my parents indulged my brother and me with pretty Easter baskets filled with chocolate, marshmallow and coloured eggs. We were never disappointed. But as time went by, Easter took on a whole new meaning!
I still enjoy the lovely pastel colours of Easter, the bunnies and chicks. Obviously, I enjoy decorating with them too. However, Easter is really a celebration of a more serious nature.

Easter is akin to Christmas... The celebration began in remembrance of our Saviour and Lord Jesus. At Christmastime, we celebrate His coming as a Babe in the stable so long ago.  At Easter time, we celebrate His death and resurrection. Because He lives....Bless His Name!

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." ~ John 3:16

Next week, I will be sharing some of my unique teacups. Do you have a unique teacup or teapot you would like to share? I would love to see it!

Thank you for coming by to have tea with me today. If you are new to my Tea Time Tuesday and you would like to participate, please share a favourite teacup, teapot, china mug, or anything related to tea. Or if you wish, you may do coffee, iced tea, apple cider, or hot chocolate. A poem, tea quote, or scripture verse would also be welcome.
