"Fairest of months! Ripe summer queen
The hey-day of the year
With robes that gleam with sunny sheen,
Sweet August doth appear."
~R. Combe Miller
Hello dear friends and welcome to another Tea Time Tuesday! Did you all have a nice weekend? My hubby and I were away for the weekend visiting my family in New Brunswick so my post will be a wee bit shorter today.
It was a busy weekend so I am enjoying some peace and quiet today. The sound of birds singing outside my window and the scent of summer is wafting its way through the open windows.
I do love this time of year!
For our tea today, I am using a teapot I found at the Anne of Green Gables Store at the beginning of the Summer.
It is sitting on a Skye McGhie plate called Coventry Garden.
The Coventry Garden teacup goes well with it. I love these beautiful pink roses that smile sweetly from these pieces!
Cupcake under glass.
I have decided to move my tea into the living room where I can watch the birds at the feeder.
These are my last roses of Summer. It is sad to see them go!
I have a cup of tea for you too. This is another Skye McGhie teacup called Chantilly Lace.
Happiness is sharing tea with a friend.

Next week I will share another new teacup which I found on the weekend. Thank you for visiting today. Your presence always makes my tea time that much more special! I would love to have you join me by linking up below and I will be happy to come and visit you.

Hi Sandi: Lovely cups today. I was talking to my computer as I was looking drooling at them today. Wanted you to know I have been praying for you. Let me know if you have something you want me to pray for, either way, I think God just wants me to pray for you. He is a God of all things! Hugs my friend. Martha

ReplyDeleteI do admire your tea sets today. My favorite are the big roses on the beautifully shaped tea pot. The set complement each other so well. I even LOVE the tea bag/spoon dish holder. Just so BEAUTIFUL!! You are so deserving being in the Romantic Home magazine!! You have lots of style, lady. Lots of style!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tea time.
Brenda
I love your teapot! It would be fun to go to the Anne of Green Gables store.
ReplyDeleteThe Secret Garden Tour at the Aikens was just delightful. I have seen views of the inside of her home on her blog and everything is just beautiful.
A couple of weeks ago, I was in Houston, Texas and saw the Titanic exhibit at the Museum of Natural Science. I remembered your Titanic Tea and was especially interested in seeing the pieces of china that were salvaged. One of the guides told us that the second class passengers thought that they had come to the first class dining room by mistake because the dishes were so pretty! I bought a reproduction egg cup in the Wisteria pattern which was used by the second class passengers.
Sandi, your tea setting is lovely. You know even though I can't resist roses and floral china,I so love your plain white teacup with the pretty lacy saucer. Hope you have a nice week. xx
ReplyDeleteI don't know where you find all those quotes but they are so appropriate and tantilizing to the brain. Your new tea pot is so pretty too. Love your blog. I read it every time....Auntie P
