Happy Pink Saturday everyone!
If you love the colour pink, then why not stop by How Sweet the Sound for some pinkness!
I enjoy making wreaths and I've made many over the years.
This is just a simple little wreath I made using silk hydrangea flowers which I glued on to a willow wreath.
I had made it for the linen closet door some time ago and I decided to take it down and use it on the coffee table. I set a crystal bowl holding a candle in the center of it and it gives me a whole different look; a nice change!

I think it adds a touch of Spring.
The little book was a gift from a friend. I had never heard tell of the artist, Carolyn Shores Wright, until I received this. I had seen her work before but never knew who she was.
This is just one of the darling examples of her work.
The artist's work is accompanied by lovely poetry and scripture verses; a very nice little book for the coffee table.
I don't know about you, but when I first got a computer, I didn't have a clue how to use it. In fact, it intimidated me something awful!
One of the first things I learned to do was to apply an animation to my emails. My aunt and I used to send each other emails almost every day and we always sent cute animations with them.
This was one of the first ones I ever used. As you can see, there is lots of pink in it.

Oh Sandi! You make the prettiest wreaths! Look at THAT! WOW!
ReplyDeleteI love that book - may have to put it in my "hints for gifts" books for my family......I seldom want for anything, but that is just too adorable, what a great artist!
Thank you for such prettiness.
Please have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs!
Happy Pink Saturday Dear Sandi! Yes, you've come a long way "Baby" from your early computer days and don't you just love technology and all it allows you to do? I absolutely adore your pink wreath and it makes me smile and think "SPRING" is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteYou did a very great job creating the wreath. It looks nice in those colors.
ReplyDeleteLove your pinks and I am going to be looking for this little book. Pretty and I am sure much inspiration inside.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Love the hydrangeas AND how you created a beautiful multi purpose wreath.
ReplyDeleteHappy PS
Very pretty wreath! I have that same sweet book and you are a reminder to me to get it out and look at it again. I especially love books with bird drawings. Love the birdies in your little animation, too! There is so much to learn about computers. I use it on my job, and now with blogging, I've learned some totally new things. However, I'm not brave enough to try some of the things I see all the other bloggers do. I'd be forever trying to undo any mishaps! It took me a year after I began blogging to try to start following other blogs, and then I spent far too long trying to get a photo to load, the right email address, etc. Sure is good exercise for the brain, though! Have a wonderful weekend Sandi! Bess
ReplyDeleteYour post is just everything I'm in the mood for! Love that wreath!
ReplyDeleteAs always Sandi,a beautiful sweet post. You have a blessed touch for posting.I still don't know how to add animation to e-mails,but I too have come a long way with computers, hugs Denise
ReplyDeleteHow sweet, I love your pink post. I remember when I had only 2 friends who had an email address in 1996 and one of them was my hubby. NO ONE had email! Now look how far we've come!
