Home Sweet Home Party

Hello friends and welcome to Rose Chintz Cottage~

For today's Home Sweet Home party, I have three items to share with you.

Some of you may have already seen these but for those of you haven't....

A wired teacup which I'ved had for years-

I decided to decorate it over the weekend.

I took a bush of red geraniums, some florist's foam, and cut the back off an old helium balloon and created this floral teacup. It perks up any room!

An Eiffel Tower votive holder which I've also had for years was given a makeover too. It was a rusty brown colour to begin with. I was torn with this; to paint or not to paint!

....I painted! A can of white spray paint and this is what it looks like now. I think it looks nice in this teacup vignette.

And a plate holder which was black...

I painted a soft white. It now looks pretty holding a Rose Chintz plate and a yummy carnation adorned cake.

Thanks for visiting. I am joining Sherry's Home Sweet Home party~ http://thecharmofhome.blogspot.com/

  1. Sandi,
Your wire teacup looks perfect with the red geraniums in it. I also love the Eiffel tower and the cake stand white. Very nice makeovers. Thanks for linking it up!

  2. Hi Sandi,
Love the spray paint - nice change, softens the look of the stand and 'tower'. I just finished spray painting a gold frame (metal) mirror, white. Likely will be taking a picture of it with some nice decorations.

  3. Sandi-
What pretty things you have and I am snagging some spray paint this weekend and I'm going to change some things up here, too.
You have inspired me to create something new out of what I already have!

  5. I love the plate stand and the Eiffel tower looks much prettier white...The teacup is so cute, I got one recently but it was gray so I painted it white like yours...much prettier.

  8. Love all your pictures and sweet vignettes. My granddaughter would have fits over the Eiffel Tower ~ she is amassing a small collection of them for her bedroom re-do!

  11. I just made some dessert stands with candle sticks and thrifted plates and a can of spray paint, but I held the spray paint can too close (because it was so windy outside!) and now I have really bad spray paint runs/drips. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it?
